Old Fashion Service and Modern Banking
Boise Valley Credit Union has been in business since 1940. It started when a few Boise City employees put their money together to make a loan to a fellow employee that was in need. Still today, Boise Valley Credit Union’s motto is:
“People Helping People”
Credit Unions were founded on this philosophy and with today's regulations, within the banking industry, it is difficult for a financial institution to hold onto that old philosophy.
Through the years, Boise Valley Credit Union has continued because of the support and dedication of many volunteers who donate their time and expertise during lunch hours and after work as well as one full-time manager to take care of the day-to-day operations of the Credit Union.
Boise Valley Credit Union has grown, struggled, and fought to keep our members' needs and interests at the top of our list, and it is working! At every board meeting our number one topic discussed is: ’what is best for the membership of Boise Valley Credit Union?’.
We are one of the last institutions that hold and adhere to the idea that credit unions are
"People Helping People".
